Esri is excited to announce our annual intern hackathon: The Weekend of Innovation. The summer interns will form teams of highly motivated developers and GIS analysts to solve interesting real-world problems using GIS. The solutions illustrate how effective it is to use ArcGIS to address real problems using location analytics. This event gives the participants an opportunity to be creative and present their idea to their Esri colleagues and senior management.

Requirements

Submissions are judged on content developed by the members of the hackathon team conducted during the hackathon submission period only. Any component developed before or after the hackathon submission period or not developed by the hackathon team is not eligible for judging.

All teams must declare their participation by the team entry deadline by completing the team entry form.

All code must be submitted to a public GitHub repository and available for the judges and event organizers to access.

All projects submitted must use ArcGIS APIs in some way. Projects submitted that do not use ArcGIS developer technology are not eligible for judging and prizes.

All submissions must use only publicly released APIs, SDKs, software and services. Since the submissions are made to public GitHub repositories, and our ultimate goal is to show your project off on a public facing website, we cannot accept submissions that use internally available and/or non-public components.

All submitting teams must be able to perform a live, in-person, 5-minute presentation of their solution.

All submissions must be completed on Devpost with all required attributes.

If additional hardware is required (mobile devices, AR/VR equipment, IoT devices, etc.) it is the team's responsibility to make it available to the judges during the judging period.
